Job TitleEmployee has knowledge and assists in preparing all meals by applying basic principles of food production. Detailed instructions and general guidelines are given for the work to be done. Employee is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a clean and friendly atmosphere. 3-5.5 hours per day!Duties, Responsibilities And Examples Of WorkLearn and apply quantity food preparation methods and proceduresRead, interpret, and follow standardized recipesProperly use and care for all food preparation equipmentFollow Sanitation and Safety proceduresCommunicate clearly and effectively with peers, manager, visitors, and parentsAssist in removing trash from the facilityAssist in cleaning serving lines, tables, equipment, and furnishings in the cafeteriaWashes dishes, cookware, and utensils as assignedCashier responsibilities and account for meals accuratelyProvide good customer servicePerforms related duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager, supervisor, or directorQualifications, Knowledge, And Abilities RequiredHigh School DiplomaKnowledge of food preparation and serving practicesKnowledge of Safety and Sanitation standardsAbility to perform simple arithmeticAbility to read and understand simple written instructionsAbility to work at a quick and steady pace for prolonged periods of time with accuracyWork is performed in a standing position with exposure to frequent noise and heatSome lifting to 50 pounds is required
