Chiller Technician OpportunityStar Service, a Fidelity Building Services Group company, is the leading HVAC service provider throughout the entire Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida. We are committed to providing excellent service, maintenance, and design-build replacements of air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial facilities.We are looking for an all-star Chiller Technician to join our Star Service of Houston team.Responsibilities:Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on air-cooled and water-cooled chiller systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant system issuesConduct start-ups, shutdowns, and performance testingRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsMaintain accurate service records and documentationEnsure compliance with safety standards and company proceduresCommunicate clearly with customers regarding system status and repair recommendationsParticipate in on-call rotation as requiredQualifications:5+ years of experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial chillersStrong knowledge of air-cooled and water-cooled chillersExperience with Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin, and similar equipmentAbility to troubleshoot refrigeration circuits, compressors, TXVs/EXVs, controls, sensors, VFDs, and electrical systemsAbility to perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, leak detection, and system startupAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequencesExperience diagnosing high/low-pressure, flow, temperature, and control-related problemsKnowledge of BAS/controls is a plusEPA 608 certification requiredValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to work independently and communicate professionally with customersAbility to work outdoors, on rooftops, and in mechanical roomsWillingness to work overtime, weekends, or emergency service when neededMust have a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanshipWhy Join Star Houston:Competitive pay and benefits packageHealth and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans to keep you and your family covered, including free preventive care and affordable prescription options.Life and Disability Insurance: Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage, with options to enhance your benefits.Retirement Savings: 401 (k) plan with a generous company match to help secure your future, with immediate vesting.Paid Time Off: Enjoy paid holidays and a PTO plan that grows with your years of service.Extra Perks: Flexible spending accounts, employee discounts, and 24/7 confidential support through our Employee Assistance Program.Star Service, A Fidelity Company, is the leading HVAC service provider throughout the entire Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida.
