Whether you're an experienced professional, a recent college graduate or somewhere in between, IDEX is a place where you can apply your existing skills and learn new ones in an environment where you can make an impact.With interesting opportunities in engineering, marketing, sales, supply chain, operations, HR, finance, and more across more than 40 diverse businesses around the globe, chances are, we have something special for you.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Grind castings per instructionsChange and dress grinding wheelsSelect the proper tools for the applicationIdentify equipment malfunctionsOperational knowledge of air-supplied hoodsIdentify scrap and/or defective castings and report to Supervisor/ManagementOperate hoists and other lifting devicesOccasionally required to help/assist new or transferred employeesMust exercise proper care of tools and equipmentMust be able to work mandatory overtime as neededOther Duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma, GED, or equivalentExperience in an industrial environment preferredEQUIPMENT/TOOLS:Grinding wheelsPneumatic or electric hand grindersPneumatic chipperHand toolsLifting equipment and devicesWORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on a periodic basis.Stand for extended periods up to 10 hours per day.Required to wear respirator or air supplied hoods and other applicable PPEAbility to move within office and manufacturing complex and write by hand and/or type.Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone, radio, and in person.Participation in any medical examinations required by law or federal regulations.Visual acuity is needed for close-detail work and computer use.Exposed to many elements, but none continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.Are you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?IDEX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
