Join the North Star Health Alliance team in Ogdensburg, situated along the St. Lawrence River. Whether you thrive on the charm of the 1000 Islands, the peaks of the Adirondacks, or the international flair of nearby Ottawa, our community offers a high quality of life both inside and outside the clinic.

nThe Opportunity

nWe are seeking collaborative, patient-centered Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs) to join our growing clinical teams across three core specialty areas: Family Practice, Pediatrics, and Cardiology. Whether you are passionate about comprehensive primary care, dedicated to pediatric development, or specialized in cardiovascular management, North Star Health Alliance provides a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where you can build a fulfilling clinical career tailored to your specialty expertise.

nKey Responsibilities

n

nnPediatrics: Conduct well-child exams, track developmental milestones, administer immunizations, and evaluate pediatric acute conditions from infancy through adolescence. Provide compassionate, family-centered health education.

n

nnCardiology: Partner with supervising cardiologists to provide specialized outpatient cardiac care. Assess and manage complex cardiovascular conditions (CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias, post-MI care), interpret diagnostic findings, and oversee post-procedure follow-ups.

n

nnCollaborative Care & Continuity: Work alongside physicians, specialty clinicians, nurses, and care coordinators to build integrated treatment plans and ensure smooth care transitions.

n

nnSchedule: Primarily Day Shift (Monday–Friday) with rotational weekend or call responsibilities depending on department assignment.

n

n nQualifications

nnnEducation: Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

n

nnLicensure & Certification: Active (or eligible for) unencumbered New York State license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C). National Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) appropriate to specialty practice (FNP, PNP, AGNP, or PA).

n

nnPrescriptive Authority: Active NYS prescriptive authority and valid DEA registration (or eligible).

n

nnExperience: Open to both experienced providers and promising new graduates with strong clinical rotations in primary care, pediatrics, or cardiovascular health.

n

nnVisas: Welcoming qualified J-1 and H-1B visa applicants for upcoming recruitment cycles.

n

n nCompensation & Benefits

nnnFinancial: Highly competitive base salary with performance and wRVU productivity incentives.

n

nnSign-On: Generous sign-on bonus and relocation assistance package.

n

nnEducation: CME stipend, paid educational leave, and student loan repayment program eligibility.

n

nnSecurity: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and malpractice coverage.

n
