Job description
CIP/COP Systems AssociateWe are currently seeking a CIP/COP (Clean in Place/Clean out of Place) Systems Associate to join our organization. The CIP/COP Systems Associate will facilitate and execute the cleaning of equipment and facilities, titrate industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate CIP/COP programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with production Supervisor and the Liquid Lead to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and has no direct reports.Responsibilities:Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs, and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelinesEnsures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the warehouse, changing room, and staging areasConducts required pre-op and/or post-op inspections to ensure the facilities and equipment are clean prior to start/stop of operationsEnsures the cleanliness the plant exterior (associate entrances, docks, dumpster areas, and QA/QC lab) and assuring trash in emptied on a timely basisManages the inventory of cleaning chemicals and cleaning tools to ensure adequate supplies are always availableCompletes tasks and duties as outlined in the master sanitation schedule efficientlyPerforms routine PM's on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properlyEnsures ALL cleaning equipment (pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etc.) are properly labeledAssists and participates in internal and 3rd party audits of SQF and FDA systems to help ensure complianceReports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Production and QA SupervisorRoutinely collaborates with co-workers to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plantOperate all required Material Handling EquipmentQualifications:High School or GED.Basic reading and writing skillsForklift certification. (Can train)Proven ability for time managementAbility to use a calculator and do simple mathematical calculations to ensure quality and service requirementsAbility to work without constant supervisionEqual Opportunity Employer / Vets / Disabled
