Industrial Civil Carpenters And Civil Concrete FinishersRichard Construction Inc. (RCI) is currently seeking experienced Industrial Civil Carpenters and Civil Concrete Finishers. An Industrial Civil Carpenter or Civil Concrete Finisher will construct, dismantle, and repair concrete forms, will set locate and prepare foundations with rebar or embeds for concrete pours, and will pour and finish concrete across a construction site.RCI has various levels of Civil Concrete/Finisher positions based on experience and skills ranked as follows:Civil Concrete/Finisher - Journeyman: NCCER Certified in Concrete Finishing or Masonry. Minimum 4+ years experience working as a concrete mason on an industrial construction project.Civil Concrete/Finisher - Cement Finisher: Smooths and finishes surfaces or poured concrete floors, walls, or sidewalks to specified textures, using hand tools or power tools. Requires 3+ years experience in craft trades.Civil Concrete/Finisher - Helper: Help concrete masons by performing duties requiring less skill or experience. Duties include using, supplying, or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.Qualification Highlights:Must be able to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, or building plansMust possess all knowledge skills and abilities for position - see belowMust be able to meet all physical requirementsMust have civil masonry experience and experience working on an industrial construction siteMust be able to:Layout foundationsSet templatesSet anchor bolts or embedsManage levels and elevationsSet and secure form workInstall bulk re-bar or pre-tied re-barPour and finish concreteRub final surface profiles as requiredMust be willing to follow all safety rules and regulationsMust have all required toolsMust be able to regularly and reliably show up at the assigned job siteMust meet all safety and security requirements at the assigned job sitePosition Responsibilities:Identify all tools required for tasksIdentify safety risks and precautions required to eliminate those risksMeasure, mark, and cut required masonry forming materials to required specificationsConstruct, re-enforce, and dismantle pre-constructed concrete formsBuild and construct wooden formsClean up work areasMust be willing to assist other crafts and perform additional job duties while not performing primary craft duties (be a Team player)Required Qualifications:Must be able to read engineered drawings proficiently to perform dutiesMust have knowledge on materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form constructionMust be able to compute basic arithmetic functions, measure, mark, and cut equipment or materials to specificationsMust have reliable transportationMust be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime with little or no notificationMust be willing to assist other crafts and perform additional duties while not performing primary craft dutiesMust be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulationsMust follow all company and site rules and regulationsMust have required toolsAbility to work with others - Team playerGood communication skills with co-workers and supervisorsCommitment to Richard values, safety rules, and regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Richard Construction Inc.
