Help Shape the Projects and Communities Around You
Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for an opportunity where your expertise has a direct impact? Join a growing team where you’ll have the ability to take ownership of meaningful projects, work closely with clients and communities, and play a key role from initial concept through final completion.
This is an opportunity for a Civil Engineer (P.E. or E.I.T.) who enjoys the technical challenge of design while also valuing collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship building. You’ll work on a diverse range of site development and land development projects, partnering with clients, municipalities, contractors, and internal teams to bring projects to life.
Unlike a traditional engineering role focused solely on design, this position offers the opportunity to be highly involved in the full project lifecycle, developing solutions, navigating approvals, supporting construction, and seeing your work become a reality in the communities you serve.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer (P.E. or E.I.T.) to join our growing team. While a Pennsylvania P.E. license is preferred, we will also consider qualified E.I.T. candidates with strong civil/site development experience who are working toward P.E. licensure.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment where engineers take ownership of meaningful projects from initial concept through completion. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of site development and land development projects while partnering closely with clients and key stakeholders. This role offers both technical challenge and client-facing responsibility in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on Civil Engineer who is both technically strong and highly capable in project execution. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Civil 3D and comfortable independently producing construction drawings, plan sets, and detailed design documentation. This individual should have strong experience interacting with municipalities, regulatory agencies, attorneys, contractors, and clients throughout the permitting and approval process.
In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Candidates holding an E.I.T. certification who demonstrate the technical capability, project experience, and initiative to grow into a P.E.-level role are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Manage civil engineering projects from planning and design through permitting and construction support
Prepare and oversee site development, land development, grading, stormwater management, and utility design plans, as well as NPDES permit and Highway HOP applications
Take projects from design concept through completed plan sets, performing both engineering design and drafting within AutoCAD Civil 3D
Engage directly with clients and key stakeholders, including project managers, attorneys, municipal officials, and regulatory agencies, to support project success and compliance
Attend and present at Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board, Township Supervisor, and other municipal meetings, including evening meetings as required
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, as appropriate based on experience level
Support business development initiatives while building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
Qualifications
Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; qualified Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) candidates working toward P.E. licensure will also be considered
Significant civil engineering experience in site development and/or land development; approximately 10 years of experience preferred
Structural engineering experience highly preferred
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Demonstrated ability to independently prepare engineering drawings, plan sets, and project documentation
Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Experience working with municipalities and land development projects
Ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, attorneys, municipal officials, and project stakeholders
Willingness to attend evening municipal meetings as needed
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Must be able to work onsite on a full-time basis
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary of $125,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and licensure
Annual performance bonus opportunity
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, life, long-term disability, and a 401(k) with generous company match, as well as vacation and holiday pay
Professional development and continuing education support
Support for continued professional growth and advancement toward P.E. licensure
