Role Overview
Apply civil rights law expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, practical legal analysis. This remote contract opportunity focuses on translating complex legal issues into high-quality content and expert feedback for AI model development. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret complex civil rights statutes, regulations, and case law for relevance and accuracy.
Conduct detailed legal research and prepare summaries, memoranda, and analyses addressing key issues and precedents.
Create and review realistic civil rights scenarios, hypotheticals, and legal problems for AI development.
Evaluate AI-generated legal analyses, provide expert feedback, and verify alignment with applicable legal standards.
Work with interdisciplinary teams to clarify legal concepts, resolve ambiguities, and maintain high-quality inputs.
Develop clear, concise legal content for varied learning contexts.
Identify emerging civil rights trends and potential risks involving AI and technology platforms.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
Substantial civil rights law practice experience, preferably gained at prominent BigLaw firms.
Strong experience in legal research, legal writing, and case law analysis involving complex, high-stakes matters.
Expertise in civil rights law, policy analysis, statutory interpretation, and legal analysis.
Exceptional critical thinking, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to translate statutes, policies, and legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
Experience working in multidisciplinary or technology-focused environments is valued.
Interest in the intersection of law, policy, AI, and societal impacts.
Work Terms
Remote contract engagement.
Independent contractor role supporting a client-focused civil rights law project.
Compensation
$140 to $400 per hour.
