Job description
Grounds Maintenance WorkerThis is a full-time, classified, non-exempt bargaining unit position. Responsible for performing manual work associated with maintaining the cleanliness, appearance and health of the grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, interior and exterior areas of Clark County Job and Family Services.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; One year of experience in performing general maintenance tasks (e.g., basic & semiskilled electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling, and masonry repair and use of associated hand and power tools) or education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above. Valid Ohio Driver's license with acceptable record to operate agency owned vehicles. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Formal training in electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, or masonry repair. Training in OSHA. Basic knowledge of computers to read e-mail notifications, enter timecard information and request time off.
