CDL A Delivery Driver – Position Overview
Join us in delivering more than just food; Youll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision. The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.
Safe Driving:
Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
Unloading:
Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.
Delivery Verification:
Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
Customer Service:
Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
Equipment Inspection:
Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
Account Management:
Handle collections and payments when applicable.

Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.
Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
About US FOODS®
Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation. All Drivers are required to visit the Clearinghouse website and register to the new database. The Clearinghouse is a secure online database that provides real-time information about commercial driver’s license (CDL) and commercial learner’s permit (CLP) holders’ drug and alcohol program violations. If you have not registered to the FMCSA database, please note registration is required. If you are able to login, but are having trouble with the Clearinghouse registration, see “Clearinghouse Help” field on the clearinghouse page.
As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
