Job description
Job TitleThis position cleans oil off of stampings by various methods, and tumbles and deburrs parts as part of the finishing process.An Overview Of What You'll Be Doing• Operates all equipment in the department safely and efficiently.• Uses the proper media and chemicals in the correct amounts and according to instructions to achieve the desired results.• Properly documents the processes performed on each part.• Places the finished parts in the proper containers after they have been finished.• Maintains equipment in a clean condition to ensure lot integrity.• Performs other duties as directed by Supervisor.Skills & AbilitiesRequired• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions• Ability to operate department equipment safely and efficientlyPreferred• Knowledge of finishing techniques and processes• Understanding of ISO/IATF 16949QualificationsHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED); three months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to gain proficiency through on-the-job training
