Job description
Job Title
Work is primarily performed in a garage, maintenance shop, and outdoor areas.
Regular exposure to vehicle exhaust, grease, oil, fuel, chemicals, dust, dirt, noise, and other shop-related substances.
Work may be performed in hot, cold, wet, dusty, or otherwise changing environmental conditions.
Employees may be required to work around moving vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, and other workplace hazards.
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in awkward positions.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, parts, tires, and equipment, including items weighing up to (XX) pounds.
May require working underneath vehicles and equipment or in confined and elevated areas.
Appropriate PPE must be worn as required by the task and company safety procedures.
Work may require extended periods of standing and physical activity.
Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment and immediately report unsafe conditions or hazards to management.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and servicing of company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and determine appropriate repairs.
Perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire changes, fluid checks, belt and hose replacement, and other routine maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and other vehicle systems.
Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and properly.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and vehicle maintenance.
Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify safety concerns and mechanical issues before they become major problems.
Communicate repair needs, safety concerns, and equipment conditions to supervisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe garage and work area.
Follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with emergency and breakdown repairs as needed.
Complete assigned work in a timely and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
