Position Summary
The Janitorial department is dedicated to maintaining a safe, healthy, and inviting learning, living and working environment for our campus community. We are part of the Administration & Finance division which provides essential services to our campus, local, state, federal and international customers. We are responsible for human, physical, financial and technical resources. As professionals, we navigate systems in a collaborative and sensitive way to assist the University in achieving its educational mission. The work schedule for this position will be discussed during the interview process and determined at time of offer.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of assigned areas of campus to include university buildings, adjacent yards, and sidewalks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing routine custodial tasks, operating cleaning equipment appropriately, and moving furniture as needed. This position may also assist with grounds maintenance, including snow removal and lawn care, and perform other general tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the campus community.

Ability to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions
Physically able to perform the tasks of the position including, but not limited to, those in the Examples of Duties & Responsibilities
A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with a variety of individuals
