Job description
Billing Specialist
Own authorizations, claims, and accounts receivable so families get accurate billing and clinicians can keep delivering care.
Location: Saint George, Utah · In person
Clinic: St. George Clinic, 348 E 600 S, St. George, UT 84770
Pay: $19–$23 per hour
Schedule: Full-time
Responsibilities
Verify client eligibility and benefits and obtain insurance authorizations.
Follow up on claims, including appealing denied claims.
Post insurance and patient payments and process refunds.
Calculate client responsibility and communicate co-pays and balances.
Handle charge posting and insurance billing.
Answer billing questions from clients, providers, and staff.
Qualifications
Two years minimum experience in medical billing, insurance, and collections.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 behavioral health coding.
Familiarity with mental health and ABA terminology.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and electronic health records.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Spanish is a plus.
