Description

We are seeking a skilled full‑time Client Manager . This is a hybrid position that requires both construction management expertise and client relationship management skills, ensuring the seamless execution of projects. If you’re a dynamic leader with experience in electric utility construction or construction management who can build on our award‑winning culture, we invite you to join our team.

This position will work with our client, AEP (West Region; TX, AR, LA, and OK) and will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

As a Client Manager at Think Power Solutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of utility construction projects. Your leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills will be essential in coordinating with utility company clients.

Project Oversight

Lead a team of field service employees responsible for project execution, quality, and safety.

Proactively identify client needs and propose tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and project outcomes.

Provide hands‑on oversight during construction activities, ensuring safety compliance, quality workmanship, and adherence to project schedules.

Collaborate with utility company clients to understand project requirements and expectations.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary liaison between Think Power Solutions and utility company clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Build and maintain strong client relationships by actively listening to their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Coordinate project milestones, deliverables, and progress updates with clients.

Leadership & Team Management

Manage a team of 20‑30 field technician employees.

Mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.

Establish and measure employee goals.

Regularly conducts in‑person and virtual meetings with team members.

Problem Solving & Decision Making

Identify and resolve project‑related challenges promptly.

Make informed decisions based on project priorities, available resources, and client expectations.

Organizational Skills

Quickly identify and address project‑related issues, leveraging critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Make data‑driven decisions that align with project goals and client expectations.

Efficiently allocate resources, manage project schedules, and track progress. Escalates and reports issues as appropriate.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company and client policies.

The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions

This position may require working more than 40 hours per week

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or 10‑15 years of related field experience

Previous proven experience in electric utility construction or related industries

Strong initiative, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and a passion for improving infrastructure

Strong leadership qualities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Problem‑solving mindset and adaptability to changing project dynamics

Willing to learn about Company finances

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team

Excellent communication skills for effective client interactions

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in project management software and tools

Ability to engage and sustain credibility with the client to look for opportunities to gain new business. Responds to client needs with professionalism
