nRegistered Nurse, Emergency Department
nFull Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Variable Shifts

nFort Loudoun Medical Center , part of Covenant Health, is an 87,000-square-foot hospital serving Loudon County and surrounding communities. Based in Lenoir City, TN, with more than 200 physicians across 29 specialties, the facility offers advanced technology including MRI, CT, ultrasound, diagnostic X-rays, women’s imaging, and nuclear medicine unique to the region. nPosition Summary:
nProvides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
nResponsibilities
nnnCorrelates patient history and support systems across continuum of care.
n
nnCompletes nursing history and initiates patient education.
n
nnCollaborates with interdisciplinary teams making recommendations to facilitate patient care.
n
nnImplements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and patient needs. Evaluates outcomes.
n
nnResolves issues regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision.
n
nnSupports Clin Nurse III/Clinical Coach in orienting/precepting new employees and students as directed.
n
nnDemonstrates active participation in unit and/or facility activities that facilitate achievement of department/facility goals and quality initiatives.
n
nnDemonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age specific needs of the population served.
n
nnSupervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.
n
nnFollows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

nnPerforms other duties as assigned.

n nQualifications
nMinimumEducation:
nNone specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
nMinimum Experience:
nMust possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.
nLicensure Requirement:
nMust have and maintain Tennessee State nursing license. CPR required.
