Clinic AssociateCatholic Charities of Long Island models the love of Jesus by offering dignified and compassionate care to poor and vulnerable neighbors of every faith and background. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing "care with dignity and life with hope."Responsibilities:Greet clients on arrival, verify and update insurance coverage and collect applicable fees.Schedule and confirm appointments in accordance with provider schedules and client needs.Appropriately triage calls for crisis intervention.Facilitate timely communication with the Clinic Coordinator regarding client payment issuesPerform all financial management/billing functions; generate reports following established procedures.Complete all office functions including word processing, photocopy, fax, and data entry into Netsmart Avatar.Qualifications:HS diploma/GEDOne year of office clerical/administrative experience that demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in office systems and procedures. Related office experience in a healthcare environment a plus.Proficiency in MS Word; familiarity with other PC programs and internet.Well-developed time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple priorities with deadlines.Sincere desire to facilitate billing issues for clients to help effect continuous care.Schedule: Full time - 35 hours per week.Rate of Pay: $19.50 per hourThis rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
