Job description
Mercy Cedar Rapids seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and mid-level providers in all aspects of patient care. The role includes rooming patients, taking histories and vitals, performing venipuncture, EKGs, and basic lab specimen collection under standing orders.
Responsibilities cover patient education, discharge planning, lab coordination, and medication management within Mercy’s safety guidelines. Certification and BLS are required, with training in mandated reporter compliance.
