Pediatric GI Clinical Office AssistantJob Overview: The Pediatric GI team at Deaconess specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system in children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. We are looking for compassionate, caring people to join our talented staff of health care professionals as we continue to grow to be the preferred, regional health care partner in our community. The Clinical Office Assistant is responsible for providing direct or indirect care, under the supervision of a physician based on their scope of training to patients who present with urgent, emergent or potential health problems, as well as preventive care. This position is located in Newburgh, Indiana.Pediatric GI Conditions we specialize in are Crohn's Disease, Celiac Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Malabsorption, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Constipation, Abdominal Pain or Distention, Gastroesophageal Disease (GERD), and other gastrointestinal (GI) conditions.Education and Experience:Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or graduation from an accredited nursing program required.Experience preferred but not required.Certificates/Licenses:Current certification/license from one of the below:Certified Medical Assistant- American Association of Medical AssistantsRegistered Medical Assistant- American Medical TechnologistCertified Clinical Medical Assistant- National Health career AssociationNational Certified Medical Assistant- National Center for Competency TestingNationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant- National Association for Health ProfessionalsRegistered Medical Assistant- American Allied HealthCertified Medical Assistant Clinical- American Medical Certification AssociationActive LPN license in state of employmentActive RN license in state of employmentCPR provider certification required.Shift: Days – Monday-FridayHours: 40 per weekEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
