Job description
Job TitleDeaconess Endocrinology Clinics offer in office thyroid ultrasounds, bone densitometry, diabetes education and management, test, diagnosis and management of other endocrine disorders. The Clinic Medical Assistant assists with patients who present with urgent, emergent or potential health problems as well as preventive care. Services will include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient/family education.This is a phone clinic office assistant position that would be answering calls for patients of three physicians, two advanced practice providers, one pharmacist, and one diabetes clinician, return calls based on response from providers, provide education through interaction on phone, "nurse only" appointments, manage Medication Assistance Program support for patients, sample medication log and reconciliation and medication refills/prior authorizations.Requirement:Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or graduation from an accredited nursing program required.CPR certification is requiredExperience preferred but not required.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Current certification/license from one of the below:Certified Medical Assistant- American Association of Medical AssistantsRegistered Medical Assistant- American Medical TechnologistCertified Clinical Medical Assistant- National Health career AssociationNational Certified Medical Assistant- National Center for Competency TestingNationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant- National Association for Health ProfessionalsRegistered Medical Assistant- American Allied HealthCertified Medical Assistant Clinical- American Medical Certification AssociationActive LPN license in state of employmentActive RN license in state of employmentShift: Days, no holidays or weekendsHours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with 1/2 day Friday off!Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
