Job Summary
Join a dynamic General Surgery team where you'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of specialty areas, including oncology, breast health, surgical care, wound care, and procedural nursing. This role offers exposure to a diverse patient population and a wide range of procedures, providing exceptional opportunities to expand your clinical expertise.
Nurses play an active role in in-office procedures such as excisions and biopsies, with significant involvement in breast cancer care. Additional opportunities include assisting with varicose vein procedures, providing comprehensive pre- and post-procedure care, and developing sedation-related skills through stereotactic biopsy procedures.
The position also includes wound management through dedicated nurse visits, allowing nurses to build experience with advanced wound care techniques, including wound VAC therapy. For nurses who are eager to learn, grow, and broaden their surgical nursing skills, this role offers a rewarding environment with continuous opportunities for professional development.
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a medical provider in the clinic setting. Under the direction and supervision of the provider the clinic RN will carry out any duties delegated and requested by the provider which does not exceed the scope of their practice and licensure by the state.
The RN will handle the higher level of care/patient assessment needs, such as triaging incoming phone calls, unscheduled visits and abnormal test results.
This position may require providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Education/Training/Experience
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Previous clinic experience
License/Certifications/Special Requirements
Possesses a current Illinois RN license and / or any other RN state license that employee is required to work.

Non-exempt hourly
