Deliver surgical and laboratory specimens to appropriate areas and transports blood products as required to and from blood bank.Maintain the supply areas so that all products are available to OR personnel.Demonstrate proper technique when cleaning operating rooms between each case.Demonstrate proper handling, cleaning, and storage of equipment and supplies.Maintains a neat and orderly environment in the main OR, supply rooms, utilities room and pre- and post-operative areas.Assist OR staff with cleaning of instruments and equipment between surgical procedures.Help with prepping patients and many times deal with blood/feces/urine/body parts.What You Will Need:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.BLS through American Heart Association required (prior to hire).Previous Operating Room, Endoscopy, Environmental or Transportation experience preferred.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be a team player and communicate well with others.Position Highlights and Benefits:We serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities.We live and breathe our guiding behaviors: we support each other in serving, we communicate openly, honestly, respectfully, and directly, we are fully present, we are all accountable, we trust and assume goodness in intentions, and we are continuous learnersMinistry/Facility Information:A member of Trinity Health, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation, Fort Lauderdale-based Holy Cross Hospital, dba Holy Cross Health, is a full-service, not-for-profit, Catholic, teaching hospital operating in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy.
