Clinical Assistant - Outpatient Psychiatry | Boston Childrens HospitalDepartment Summary: Clinical Assistant for our Outpatient Psychiatry Department. Key responsibilities:Assisting clinician during examinations; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, weights, heights and lengths.Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.Facilitating patient flow through the clinic.Performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic, including supply inventory, and stocking/organizing exam rooms.Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.Collecting, verifying and recording required information, obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.Working Monday – Friday day shifts, varying start and end times between 8am-7pm.Minimum qualifications:Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.Experience: 1 year CA experience, CNA Certification, or one round of clinical rotations preferredPediatric experience preferred.
