Under the leadership of Department Chair Dr. Heakyung Kim, PM&R at UT Southwestern delivers world-class care at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and affiliated outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will thrive in an academic environment, providing exemplary patient care while educating and mentoring the next generation of rehabilitation physicians. As part of one of the largest PM&R residency training programs in the United States, the faculty member will have the opportunity to work closely with residents, fellows, and medical students in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

UT Southwestern is an internationally respected academic medical center recognized for excellence in clinical care, education, and biomedical research. Its distinguished faculty includes 26 members of the National Academy of Sciences, 17 members of the National Academy of Medicine, and 14 Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigators. Since 1985, six UT Southwestern faculty members have received Nobel Prizes.

Founded in 1943 as a small private medical school, UT Southwestern has grown into a leading public academic medical center employing more than 23,000 people and operating with an annual budget exceeding $4.5 billion. Located just 10 minutes from downtown Dallas, the 1,000-acre Southwestern Medical District is home to four schools and a rapidly expanding clinical enterprise that delivers care in approximately 80 specialties, with over 3 million outpatient visits, 117,000 hospital admissions, and 360,000 emergency visits annually.
