We are seeking an experienced Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)/ED Observation Unit Family Nurse Practitioner to become part of our night team! You will work in collaboration with an ED physician at a Level 1 trauma center, while focusing on providing high quality, patient centered care.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage CDU patients
Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
Perform basic to advanced procedures as appropriate and required (LP, central line, chest tube, etc)
Facilitate referrals, transfers, outpatient follow ups and admit to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
2+ years previous experience as an APP in a hospitalist/inpatient or ED setting, 5+ years preferred
Current Colorado Licensure or eligibility, active NP certification, DEA, ACLS, PALS and ATLS certifications
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership qualities and ability to facilitate care with multiple specialties

Work Environment
Fast‑paced emergency department requiring frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing hands‑on procedures.
