Clinical Educator- Cardiac PCU & Orthopedics
Safety Harbor: Mease Countryside | Nursing | Full Time
The Clinical Nurse Educator for the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Orthopedic Unit at Mease Countryside Hospital assesses, develops, implements, and leads educational activities designed to grow, maintain, and improve the professional competence of clinical team members and creates and oversees assigned clinical programs through comprehensive needs assessments. This role serves as a clinical education leader for both specialty areas, supporting team member development, evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and professional growth across the Cardiac PCU and Orthopedic units.
Your Role Within the Team:
Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs that support clinical excellence and professional development for Cardiac PCU and Orthopedic team members
Design and oversee specialty-specific education based on identified learning needs, regulatory requirements, and quality initiatives
Facilitate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency development for new and experienced nurses
Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for evidence-based practice, clinical education, and specialty nursing care
Partner with nursing leaders and interdisciplinary teams to support patient safety, quality improvement, and practice advancement initiatives
Provide consultation and guidance related to competencies, educational requirements, certification opportunities, and professional development
Promote engagement, lifelong learning, and practice improvement as a positive change agent within the clinical environment
Perform Registered Nurse functions and other duties as assigned, as needed
Qualifications Required
BSN with 3 years of clinical experience
Clinical nursing experience in Cardiac Progressive Care, Telemetry, Cardiovascular Nursing, Orthopedics, Medical-Surgical Nursing, or a related acute care specialty
Preferred
Professional organization certification
ANPD certification
Experience caring for cardiac and/or orthopedic patient populations
Previous education, preceptor, mentoring, or leadership experience
