About the Role
The Clinical Group Facilitator serves as a recovery-focused role model and group leader who provides curriculum-based group facilitation services to members participating in New Freedom programs. This position focuses on delivering engaging group experiences, supporting recovery planning, promoting healthy coping skills, and helping members build the tools necessary for successful community reintegration. Working closely with the treatment team, the Clinical Group Facilitator helps create an environment that encourages growth, accountability, and long-term recovery success.

What You’ll Be Responsible For Facilitating curriculum-based recovery, reentry, and life-skills groups for members
Creating engaging group experiences that promote participation, learning, and personal growth
Supporting members in identifying goals, strengths, and recovery-focused action plans
Monitoring group dynamics and communicating member concerns to the treatment team
Helping members build effective coping skills, social skills, and self-confidence
Documenting services, group attendance, and member progress accurately and timely
Collaborating with therapists and treatment team members to support quality member care
What Success Looks Like Members are actively engaged and participating in group programming
Group sessions are dynamic, meaningful, and aligned with approved curriculum
Members gain practical recovery, reentry, and life-management skills
Documentation is timely, accurate, and compliant
Positive group dynamics and a supportive learning environment are consistently maintained
Program KPIs and quality-of-care standards are achieved
What We’re Looking For Must meet Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) requirements
Minimum one year of group facilitation experience
Experience facilitating behavioral health, recovery, peer support, reentry, or educational groups
Strong group facilitation, classroom management, and communication skills
Strong understanding of recovery, behavioral health, substance use, and reentry principles
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field preferred)
Peer Support Specialist Certification and relevant lived recovery experience preferred
Experience working with justice-involved, behavioral health, substance use, or reentry populations preferred
Specialized training in recovery, behavioral health, counseling, interpersonal skills, and de-escalation techniques preferred
Environment + Physical Demands
This position is primarily performed in an outpatient behavioral health environment and includes group facilitation in classroom and group settings.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Frequent facilitation of group sessions lasting multiple hours
Regular interaction with members, clinical staff, and treatment teams
Frequent computer, documentation, and reporting activities
Periods of standing, walking, sitting, and active group engagement throughout the day
Occasional lifting and movement of materials up to 30 pounds
