Overview
nWeekend Clinical Liaison ( RN / RRT )
nSelect Specialty Hospital
nCritical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH)
nRate is $42/hr.
nThe work schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8 AM - 5 PM
nAdditional shifts will also be available to cover PTO, and Medical leave for full-time employees.
nA day in the life
nYou’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.

nWhat a Clinical Liaison Does
nYou’ll be a champion of The Select Medical Way, which includes: putting the patient first, helping to improve quality of life for the community in which you live and work, developing and exploring new ideas, providing high-quality care, and doing well by doing what is right. The Per-Diem Clinical liaison covers some weekends, PTO, and medical leave for full-time employees.
nKey Responsibilities:
nnnYou will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
n
nnPerform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
n
nnPartner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process by removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
n
n nQualifications
nMinimum Qualifications
nnCurrent and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist.
n nPreferred Experience
nnnTwo years of related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role are preferred.
n
nnDemonstrated competency with the preadmission process, including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or in another post-acute care setting, is preferred.
n
nnProven track record in sales and marketing with a least one year of experience in a related position preferred.
n
nnDemonstrated computer proficiency.
n
nnMust exercise sound judgment in handling the professional/confidential nature of health care sales.
