nPosition Description: RN - Clinical Nurse Department Pool - Labor & Delivery

nThe Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

nnnThe registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care

nnOrganizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others

n

nnIdentifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

nNursing Department Pool Commitment:

nnnMinimum of 4 shifts per every 6 weeks

n

nnOne Saturday and one Sunday per 6 week schedule

n

nnOne Summer and one Winter Holiday

n

n nRequirements:

nnnRegistered Nurse license

n

nnAt least 18 months RN Labor & Delivery experience

n

nnAssociates Degree in Nursing

n

nnBachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

n

nnBLS (Basic Life Support)

n

nnNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

n

n nFacility:

nLocation: Winter Haven Womens

nStatus: Pool, Exempt: No

nShift Hours: 6:45PM - 7:15AM

nShift: Shift 3

nShift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

nWeekend Work: Occasional
