About This Role
Pay: $65/hour
Location: New York, NY
Facility: Mount Sinai
Department/Unit: Preventive Medicine SC - ISM
Schedule: Full-Time
What You'll Do
Deliver patient care incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care.
Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans.
Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning post-hospital care.
Educate patients and caregivers about their care plans and health promotion.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care.
Conduct Purposeful Hourly Rounding on assigned patients addressing the 4 Ps.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
Experience: Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice assigned; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.
Licenses & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Saver (BCLS) certification required.
NRP certification (Labor and Delivery, NICU).
ACLS certification (various departments).
PALS certification (various departments).
