Job description
Provides direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focused on GYN Oncology, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom, pain, palliative, and hospice care. Care involves moderate to high acuity and complex interventions, coordinated by a multidisciplinary team of oncology-trained nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, social workers, spiritual care, pharmacy, psycho-social support, and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medications.
Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
Develops and implements individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with team members, patients, and families.
Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
Works in a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Licensure: Valid RN license required.
Experience: No experience required; two years of experience preferred.
