Job description
Provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety, quality, and compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and families, considering patient preferences and cultural needs. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, maintaining a safe work environment as a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications & Skills:
Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Current RN license required.
No prior experience necessary; 2+ years of pediatric Critical Care experience is preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
Key Duties:
Promote a healing environment and educate patients/families on care management.
Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
Collaborate with the interprofessional team to create and communicate care plans.
Assess and evaluate patient needs holistically, considering emotional, spiritual, and cultural factors.
