Job description
Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities according to standards of care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while supporting professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and documents individualized care plans with collaborative input, ensuring clear communication across care teams.
Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
Supports a healing environment through patient education and safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Position is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices.
