About This Role
The Clinical Nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital provides safe, competent quality care to a designated group of patients, utilizing nursing theory and research. This role is ideal for registered nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

What You'll Do
Deliver patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care and nursing process.
Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans.
Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
Role model Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care actions.
Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying improvement opportunities.
Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
Document nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
Experience
Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.
Licenses & Certifications
Current RN License in New York State
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required
NRP certification (Labor and Delivery, NICU)
ACLS certification (various departments)
PALS certification (various departments)
