About This Role
The Clinical Nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital provides safe, competent quality care to patients in the Neuro ICU, utilizing nursing theory and research. This role is ideal for registered nurses who are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do
Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching, rounding, and planning after hospital care.
Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care.
Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
Experience
Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.
Licenses & Certifications
Current RN License in New York State
BLS certification required
NRP certification preferred
ACLS certification preferred
PALS certification preferred
