Job description
Role:
Provides direct patient care in an orthopedic unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities within established standards.
Responsibilities:
Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers.
Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN licensure; no prior experience required.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Key Duties:
Care for diverse orthopedic patients, including those undergoing joint replacement, spine surgery, trauma, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal oncology.
Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration and patient education to support recovery and well-being.
