About This Role
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for providing safe, competent quality care to a designated group of patients, utilizing nursing theory and research.

What You'll Do
Deliver patient care using the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care.
Assess and evaluate patient care needs applying critical thinking skills.
Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans.
Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning after hospital care.
Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
Document nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
Experience: Relevant clinical competence in assigned nursing practice area; new graduates must possess current nursing process knowledge.
Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York
BLS certification required
NRP certification (Labor and Delivery, NICU)
ACLS certification (various departments)
PALS certification (various departments)
