Day Shift
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is a clinical leader with advanced skills and knowledge in designated clinical areas. Functions independently as a role model, clinician, educator, patient/family advocate, consultant, leader, and researcher.
Plans and provides formal and informal education programs to improve the professional and technical competence of nursing staff, enhancing the quality and delivery of care. Is accountable for clinical, quality, and financial outcomes for a defined patient population.
Initiates and facilitates multidisciplinary care teams in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing changes in clinical practice.
Required qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing
California Registered Nurse License upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Certification from a national professional specialty organization within 3 years of hire
3 years of clinical experience in area(s) of specialization
