Key Responsibilities
Conducting in-depth assessments of patients, coordinating diagnostic procedures, and developing tailored treatment strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health conditions in collaboration with healthcare teams
Educating patients and families on prevention, wellness, and comprehensive disease management
Prescribing appropriate therapies and medications adhering to the established guidelines
Engaging in follow-up care and thorough chronic disease management
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated approach to care
Meticulously documenting all patient interactions within electronic health records (EHR)
Academic Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
Graduated from an accredited Clinical Nurse Specialist program
Mandatory Credentials
Active Clinical Nurse Specialist licensure in New York State
National certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS-BC, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
