What You Will Be Responsible For
Performing holistic patient assessments, coordinating diagnostic evaluations, and developing personalized care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute or chronic health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, as per your qualifications
Providing education to patients and families on wellness, prevention techniques, and chronic disease management
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your practice scope
Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care oversight
Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to offer seamless and comprehensive patient care
Maintaining meticulous electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
Educational Background Needed
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Clinical Nurse Specialist program
Certifications Required
Valid Clinical Nurse Specialist licensure in New York state
National certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or specialty-focused equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within a stipulated timeframe)
