n nHow you'll make an impact in this role
nnnYou will provide advanced care, consultation, research, management and education in a specific clinical area.
n
nnProvide advanced direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
n
nnServe as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Contribute to defining, directing and evaluating the nursing care and functions of clinical staff.
n
nnManage clinical research projects in support of evidence-based practice and disseminate findings.
n
nnDevelop, implement and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilize methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
n
nnMay assess the learning needs of patients and families and develop and/or implement teaching programs.
n
n nWhat minimum requirements you'll need
nLicensure / Certification / Registration:
nnnBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
n
nnOne or more of the following required:
n
nnClinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
n
nnClinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
n
nnRegistered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
n
nnRegistered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
n
n nEducation:
nnDiploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required and Master's degree required.
n nAdditional Preferences:
nnn3 - 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Progressive Care
n
nnTeaching/Education experience
n
nnLeadership experience
n
nnNeed to be flexible on shift (support staff development – days, nights, and weekends)
