Job description
Join our team as a rotating shift, full-time Pharmacy Registered Clinical Pharmacist in Amarillo, TX.
Responsibilities
The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture programs, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and oversees the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.
Qualifications
B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship.
2+ years' clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).
Preferred Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
