Job description
This position is for a Clinical Pharmacist located in Auburn, WA, available on a contract basis with a potential to transition to permanent employment after 16 weeks. The schedule includes variable days and afternoons, with 8-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Support distribution functions within the inpatient pharmacy
Verify medication orders using Epic
Perform final product verification checks
Respond to clinical questions and provide drug information
Oversee pharmacy technician activities
Participate in Code Blue and emergency response protocols
Utilize IT systems including Epic and Pyxis
Desired Experience and Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist with current credentials
Experience with chemotherapy and oncology medications is highly preferred
Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills
Comfortable responding to emergency situations in the hospital setting
