Job description
This opportunity is for a Clinical Hospital Staff Pharmacist role in an inpatient hospital setting located in Cicero, IL. The position is offered on a 13-week contract basis with potential for extension. As a vital member of the pharmacy team, you will work rotating first and second shifts, covering 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM, including rotating weekends, providing essential clinical pharmacy services to support patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy support in an inpatient hospital environment.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy for patients.
Manage and review oncology medication protocols where applicable.
Utilize Cerner computer systems to document and track pharmaceutical care.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Participate in rotating shifts and weekend coverage as required.
Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active Illinois pharmacy license.
Strong clinical experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
Oncology clinical experience preferred.
Proficiency or experience with Cerner electronic health record systems is a plus.
Ability to adapt to rotating first and second shifts, including weekend rotations.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Schedule: Rotating shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM.
Rotating weekends.
