Job description
A small, 25-bed hospital located in rural Illinois is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their healthcare team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential pharmaceutical care in a close-knit hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
Review and verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapies as necessary
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication use and patient outcomes
Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug information to medical staff
Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards, policies, and regulations
Manage inventory and secure storage of pharmaceuticals
Qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist with experience in clinical pharmacy settings
Strong knowledge of prescription drugs and their clinical applications
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with hospital pharmacy practices and regulatory guidelines is preferred
Location: Small hospital setting in rural Illinois, serving Macomb and surrounding communities
