Job description
A clinical pharmacist role is available at an outpatient pharmacy within a well-established medical center in Golden Valley, AZ. This contract position begins mid-July and spans approximately 13 weeks with potential for extension. The schedule features variable shifts primarily between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with some flexibility up to 8:00 pm.
Key responsibilities include verifying, filling, and reviewing prescriptions accurately, supervising pharmacy technicians, and providing counseling to patients to ensure safe and effective medication use. Your expertise will contribute to optimal patient outcomes and the smooth operation of the outpatient pharmacy.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Arizona pharmacist license
Minimum of 5 years retail pharmacy experience
Strong knowledge of prescription verification and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration
Ability to oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians effectively
