Job description
A clinical hospital staff pharmacist role is available in an inpatient hospital setting in Chicago, IL. This contract position offers a 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. The schedule includes rotating first and second shifts, requiring flexibility to cover 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm hours, including rotating weekends.
Key responsibilities include providing expert clinical pharmacy services to support inpatient care, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Proficiency with Cerner pharmacy systems will contribute to efficient workflow and documentation.
Qualifications and experience desired for this role:
Strong inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
Oncology pharmacy experience preferred
Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems a plus
Valid Illinois pharmacy license required
