Job description
Two inpatient pharmacist positions are available at a hospital near Elkhart, IN (just outside South Bend, IN). This 13-week contract opportunity begins June 1 and offers the following shifts:
Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Day/Evening Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
This role focuses on clinical inpatient pharmacy services within a hospital environment utilizing key pharmacy technologies.
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager Order Verification system
Manage inpatient pharmacy distribution using Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems
Prepare IV medications including antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes in the IV room
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing
Desired Experience and Qualifications: Proficiency in Cerner order verification required
Familiarity with inpatient hospital pharmacy operations, including IV preparation
Experience using Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems
Accepting new graduates who have Cerner order verification experience
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Commitment to accuracy and patient safety
