Job description
This opportunity offers an engaging role for a clinical pharmacist specializing in inpatient care within a dynamic hospital setting. This contract position at a major medical center provides a focused experience working overnight shifts, supporting critical functions in patient medication management and pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough medication verification and dispensing for inpatient pharmacy needs
Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance
Perform detailed IV preparation checks and verifications to support clinical care teams
Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for medication documentation and communication
Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
Solid knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows and standards
Experience using EPIC or similar EMR systems to manage patient medication records
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining excellent attention to detail
Schedule: 4x 10-hour overnight shifts, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Location: Evanston, IL
This contract spans approximately 13 weeks, starting mid-June.
