Job description
A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with critical care expertise for a 13-week contract beginning June 2. This position primarily covers the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 during day shifts on a 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. schedule every other week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy support in a Level 1 trauma center setting.
Monitor medication therapy and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes in critical care units.
Utilize EPIC electronic medical records efficiently for documentation and order verification.
Qualifications: Active Louisiana pharmacy license.
Minimum of one year of recent experience in critical care, preferably in a Level 1 trauma environment.
Experience or comfort with EPIC EMR is required.
PGY-2 residency in critical care highly preferred but not mandatory.
Board certification in pharmacy is a plus.
Ideal candidates are those ready to contribute immediately to interdisciplinary teams in high-acuity settings. First-time travel pharmacists are welcome, making this an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a new environment.
